IowaFM requires a lot of specialty equipment to build out Hoover Studio and a Low-Power FM station. As far as possible we're re-using hardware, and using free and open-source software. However, this only goes so far. What we need is equipment to make our broadcast MUCH better and more reliable. Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS): This UPS protects critical server, networking or telecommunications equipment from blackouts, voltage fluctuations, and surges. The Hoover Studio for the Public Interest, Convenience and Necessity of Iowa City/West Branch Iowa: -is backing  KUBU with contributing  FCC Engineering, and Services,  Research, and Development. -is backing IowaFM.org as the think-tank for Iowa Community Media with West Branch Offices.
